Before ordering a multi-port valve, the port arrangement must be identified. Neo Valves offers the 3-Way valves in eight (8) L-port and three (3) T-port configurations. The 4-Way valves are available in three (3) port configurations. Additionally, multi-port valves may be transflow of non-transflow design. With non-transflow, you do not get any "crossover leakage" when turning the valves. (Examples where you may not want cross-over leakage would be mixing applications). Transflow design would apply to circumstances where damage may result to the system if the valve were inadvertently left in a transition position so that the media entering the valve inlet port was restricted from exiting the outlets. (Eg downstream of reciprocating pump, the pressure would continue to build if a non-transflow valve were being used and the valve was left in a "partially open-partially closed" position.
